EMS Education Captain

Job location: Hot Sulphur Springs, CO
Pay range: $77,610.11- $117,392.25 annual (hiring rate DOQE)

Position Duties:
This position is responsible for supervision and oversight of the EMS Education Department, clinical training, and field training for the Emergency Medical Services department including teaching initial and continuing education courses based upon need as determined by department leadership. 

Position Requirements:
The following qualifications are required at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment: Possession of a valid, State of Colorado driver’s license. State of Colorado and National Registry Paramedic certification or licensure. ACLS certification. Ability to pass a background check. ICS 100, 200, 700, 800.

The following qualifications are required to be obtained and maintained within 6 months of hire or at their earliest offering thereafter: Colorado Primary EMS Instructor (Primary, Skills, and Administrator), ACLS Instructor, PALS instructor, BLS Instructor, PHTLS Instructor.

The following qualifications are preferred: Supervising Paramedic Officer (SPO) certification or higher from the National EMS Management Association, Level 2 Instructor Certification from the National Association of EMS Educators.
