Shift is 48 hours, hiring for two full time positions.

Paramedic pay range is $29-33/hr

Starting wage is $29/hr and goes to $31/hr after 90 days, also dependent on experience

Custer County is 740+ square miles and is bordered by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the West.

We have 3 ALS ambulances. All ambulances have auto-loaders and LUCAS devices. We have waivers for TXA and ketamine for pain. 

Primary crew is staffed by a Paramedic and EMT. Full time shifts are 48 hours and part time shifts are 24 hours. 

Custer County requires mountain and snow driving. Please have experience in both and have an appropriate vehicle before applying. 

We offer annual raises in January.

Must have valid driver's license, be at least 18 years of age

Current Colorado and NREMT licensing required.

Must pass background check and UA pre-hire.

ACLS, PALS required for Paramedic

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Be able to lift injured people.
  • Drive an ambulance to a medical facility.
  • Treat patients using skills and equipment required by local and state policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with paramedics, nurses, doctors and other medical professionals.
  • Be familiar with emergency management policies and procedures.
