Necessary Certifications 

• Colorado State Paramedic
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• CDFPC Firefighter I OR Ability to Attend an Academy
• CDFPC Hazardous Materials Operations Level OR Ability to Attend an Academy
• FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, 800

Hiring Process:

• Interview
• Fire/EMS practical skills assessment
• Physical fitness test
• Ride along
