EMS Agency Medical Director

Chaffee County EMS is soliciting proposals from qualified physicians to serve as the EMS Agency Medical Director. The Medical Director provides clinical leadership, medical oversight, and accountability for all patient care activities within the County EMS system.

This role ensures high-quality, evidence-based prehospital care through protocol development, provider oversight, quality improvement, and compliance with Colorado EMS regulations (6 CCR 1015-3).
 
The selected contractor will enter into a professional services agreement with the County to fulfill all statutory and operational requirements of an EMS Medical Director as defined by Colorado law and County expectations.

The County desires commencement of work no later than October 1, 2026. The term of the contract is expected to be 12 months, through October 1, 2027, subject to the contract's terms and performance requirements, with automatic annual renewal upon a successful performance review of the Medical Director's services.
